Unknown MSVU Student. Desk graffiti, n.d.
4 Mar 2000 – 28 May 2000

Window Box, a series of vitrine exhibitions in the Library's upper-level elevator corridor, resumed on 4 March with an "intervention" by Honours English student Peggy MacKinnon. In addition to the changing exhibitions in this site, both levels of the Library are hung with works of art from the university collection.

Little Scratchings juxtoposes two representations of the Mount Saint Vincent University student body — as a collection of photographed faces and as faceless producers of graffiti. How does McKinnon's approach parallel that of MSVU's Public Affairs Office in representing the students? Is there a difference between her request for critical interpretation and the objectives underlying a campaign to attract students?
