Curator Cliff Eyland for Gallery 1.1.1, Winnipeg Raised in Halifax, Charmaine Wheatley took up residence in New York City after graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She is known for teasingly erotic subject matter. The exhibition includes documentation of her Agricola Street storefront performance in 1997 and another Halifax-era piece, the bookwork Cambridge Suites.
