About Working Title

The Working Title Writing Project is a new initiative of the Mount Saint Vincent University Art Gallery. MSVU Art Gallery seeks to broaden participation in the discussion of contemporary art by developing an alternative publishing venue on its website. Through the Working Title Writing Project, emerging Nova Scotian writers are invited to use the gallery’s programming as an inspiration for a piece of critical writing. The writing should develop themes central to the gallery’s activities, including: alterity, diasporic experience, gender and sexual politics, modernist survivals, craft, film, video, performance, and emerging artists.
