Ariella Pahlke

Ariella Pahlke is a documentary and video artist, curator and educator. Over the past 15 years she has explored documentary process, ethics, and participatory practice in her own work and through collaborative projects. Her documentaries, independent shorts, and multi-media collaborations have been screened on television and at festivals throughout Canada, the US and India. Present projects include documenting and investigating the practice of burning rubber as a mode of self-expression; collaborating as a video artist in a three-year SSHRC-funded interdisciplinary project about movement and architecture; facilitating community and school-based video projects involving youth; and ongoing work on several independent experimental documentaries.
