Edward Huner

has been exhibiting his work in Atlantic Canada since 1977. Born in Holland and raised in Southern Ontario, Huner took his formal studies at NSCAD, BFA, 1976. Represented in the collections of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Art Bank, his work is found in private collections throughout Eastern Canada. Huner divides his time between studios at his home in rural Pictou County, Nova Scotia ,and Miramichi,New Brunswick, where he teaches drawing and lectures in Western Art History in an Applied Arts Diploma Program for the New Brunswick Community College system. Currently his work is represented by Argyle Fine Art Gallery, Halifax.

As a figurative artist, his work is a metaphor for felt or imagined responses to personal memory and history, rather than a narrative expression.
